Hi all x

Well I have arrived... after flying through Brussels and Dakar... and the weather is very humid!! I am a big red sweaty mess! (nice image for you all... hence no photos this time! hee hee :) also not sure how to do it out here yet??) Went to Serakunda market today and bought some material to make clothes - have language training next week and motorbike training in about 3 weeks... there are lots more cars on the road than I expected although we are near the capital... I'm sure my village in Kerewan will be a lot more deserted!
A lot of the volunteers here already keep giving me sympathetic looks when I say I am staying in Kerewan... 'Oh... well the road is good...' seems to be the common response... many of the volunteers have 3 bedroom houses with onsuite and apparently mine is two rooms with a pit latine outside and a bucket bath... should be interesting! At least I have friends to stay with when I am bucket bored...
Have a welcome party this eve on the beach to meet other volunteers so that should be fun... Will see my house in 4 weeks so will keep you updated...
